The Alderfer Auction Company Sells
Coins & Currency
Coin
collectors may spend an entire lifetime collecting coins, but most only sell
their collection once. And when the day comes to sell that collection, the
process can be confusing and overwhelming. That is why so many coin
collectors choose the Alderfer Auction Company when selling their coins.
Why sell your Coins through the Alderfer
Auction Company?
Here are 8 very important reasons:
|

|

|
Solid History of Selling Coins: Since it was established in 1959 by founder Sanford
Alderfer, the Alderfer Auction Co. has been selling coins. We have helped
to create many coin collections over the years. And when the time came to
sell many of those collections, the Alderfer Auction Company was there to
help, and we have a strong history of helping our customers in this
specialty area.
|
|

|

|
Coin Expertise: Coins consigned to our coin auctions are reviewed by
our professional coin consultant who sorts, describes, and where appropriate,
grades your coins. Your consignment is then added to our Coin Auction
Listing, which both appears on our Web Site, and/or is mailed out to our
regular coin customers.

|

|

|
Reputation For Integrity: You don't remain in the auction business for nearly
50 years without a solid reputation. Repeat business, customer referrals,
and positive word of mouth are just some of our primary sources of new
business. Our reputation for integrity and valued customer relationships
mean everything to us. And we work hard to maintain it. Over the years we
have established a reputation of being fair to both buyers and sellers.
When you contract with the Alderfer Auction Company we can never
guarantee what your merchandise will sell for. But we will guarantee you
this: Your merchandise will be handled with respect. It will be
professionally marketed and promoted in the most cost effective manner.
And you will receive a fair and honest accounting when the auction is
complete, as well as timely payment.
|
|

|

|
Exposure and Advertising: Our Coin Specialty Auctions are widely promoted
through a series advertising vehicles including trade paper and local
advertising, auction flyers and brochures, our primary Alderfer Auction
Company web site (www.AlderferAuction.com) as well as our coin specialty
web site (www.AlderferCoinAuctions.com), mailings to our USPS mailing
list, e-mail blasts to our extensive e-mail address book, and through
many other traditional and non-traditional advertising means, all of
which are designed to attract both our existing coin customer base, as
well as new collectors and dealers.
|
|

|

|
Competitive Bidding Situation: If you are uncertain of what your coin collection is
worth, how can you possibly feel comfortable selling it for a fixed price?
For many collectors, selling their coins in a competitive bidding
situation, in a well-advertised Auction, before knowledgeable and
motivated bidders, is the best way to establish true market value.

|
Professional Auction Staff: Our professional auctioneers and auction staff
include many of the best people in the auction business, with more than
200 years of combined experience in the auction industry. Our
professional staff includes numerous past Pennsylvania Auctioneer
Association "Auctioneers of the Year", "Hall of Fame"

Convenient Location: The Alderfer Auction Center is conveniently located
only a few miles off of the Lansdale Exit of the Pennsylvania Turnpike's
Northeast Extension. We are only 45 minutes north of Center City
Philadelphia…two hours from New York City…2 ½ hours from Baltimore…3 ½
hours from Washington DC. And according to the Greater Philadelphia
Tourism Marketing Corporation nearly 50,000,000 people…1/6 of the entire
population of the United States….lives within four hours of our Auction
Center.

|
State of the Art Auction
Center: The Alderfer Auction Center
is an innovatively-designed auction center exclusively devoted to the
Auction Method of Selling. The focal point is our large and flexibly
organized main auditorium that is both elegantly carpeted and well lit.
When necessary it can be sub-divided into smaller areas as may be
necessary for more intimate Specialty Auctions. Our newly renovated
gallery and hallway, along with our outdoor selling area, provide enough
square footage that we usually have four or more auctioneers selling
simultaneously. Conveniences at the Alderfer Auction Center include a
café and a computerized registration system that processes all
transactions instantly and efficiently. Personal property and private
collections are carefully handled after they have been identified with a
unique consignor ID# for tracking on our computerized inventory system.
As you would expect, professional safety and security measures are in
abundance to assure a safe environment for both our customers and our
consigned merchandise.
|
While the benefits of the Auction Method of Selling
are numerous, when you decide to sell at auction, we hope that you will
consider the Alderfer Auction Company. We invite your inquiries and look
forward to assisting you with your personal property, moving, and real
estate needs.
